CEDAR was at the Junior Achievement JobSpark event on October 25, 2022

JA JobSpark is a Junior Achievement initiative that includes a two-day, hands-on career expo for 8th graders in southwest Indiana and southeast Illinois. The event is meant to “spark” an interest in students and get them excited for their future.

Students learned about skills needed for jobs that will be in demand when they graduate while utilizing equipment that is used for those jobs daily. After the event, students have a better understanding of the courses they will need to take in high school, a track for post-secondary, and a clear career pathway that aligns with their interests.
Students engaged in hands-on, experiential activities and interacted with local industry professionals from eight career clusters. The focus of JA JobSpark is to highlight the necessary skills and career pathways that will prepare students for the high-demand jobs of the future.
