Registration is open now for our annual Coal Day event. Join us on April 10th, 2024 at the Vincennes University Fort Branch campus.

This is a FREE event for all middle school and high school students and teachers. All you need to do is sign up! 

2023 Video Contest winners will be announced the week of Nov. 9th!

ABOUT CEDAR

CEDAR is a not-for-profit 501 C 3 organization that began in July of 1993 in Pikeville, KY. The organization was formed through the joint efforts of the North Carolina Coal Institute and Coal Operators and Associates of Pikeville.

CEDAR expanded its reach into West KY in 1996 when
CEDAR West KY was formed and again in 2018 when
CEDAR Indiana began.

who we want to educate

Hoosiers who have an interest in coal and energy production including Indiana’s K-12 students and educators of both educators, students as well as the general public.

CEDAR provides opportunities to gain a deeper understanding of the importance of coal and the energy it produces.

HOW WE EDUCATE

guest speakers and presentations from industry
